As a Caring Organization for our employees and for the Community, the University offers leave polices* including paid annual, sick leave and parental leaves going beyond the local statutory requirements, as well as full-paid special leave to support our appointees to participate in volunteering service and in Wellness / Diversity & Equal Opportunities initiatives organised by the University.

Paternity Leave

Up to 7 working days of paternity leave may be granted to an eligible appointee on each occasion of childbirth. Details are listed in the Staff Manual.

Maternity Leave

The maternity leave shall cover, in the first instance, a continuous period of fourteen weeks. Details are listed in the Staff Manual.

Flexible Work Arrangement

In alignment with the University’s commitment to foster diversity and inclusion, and to provide a dynamic and supportive work environment in which employee may continually develop intellectually and professionally, Flexible Work Arrangements for Non-academic Staff was implemented, with effect from October 2024. This arrangement not only promotes work-life balance but also contributes to the University’s sustainable commuting goals by reducing the frequency of campus commutes.

With approval from supervisors/heads, eligible employee may work from an alternative location in Hong Kong at a maximum of one day per week, subject to the requirement that their work can be delivered to its entirety from other locations.

The Mobile App Deltapath Mobile is provided to support employee in making and receiving voice calls via their office extension using their mobile devices, both on and off campus.
