PowerSAC is seeking a Research Scientist to lead the scientific direction of the RP3 research programme, focused on AI-assisted power electronics design.

Reporting to the Programme Lead, the appointee will define research strategy, lead collaborations, and ensure delivery of high-impact research outputs aligned with InnoHK objectives.

 

key responsibilities

 

  • Define and lead the RP3 research agenda and long-term technical vision

  • Develop and manage collaborations with academic, industry, and government partners

  • Oversee programme delivery, including reporting, milestones, and funding requirements

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the research and engineering teams

  • Drive publication, intellectual property, and technology transfer strategies

  • Represent the programme in stakeholder and international research engagements

 

Requirements

 

  • PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a closely related field

  • Proven research track record with publications and collaborative project experience

  • Experience managing research programmes and external partnerships

  • Strong understanding of power electronics; AI/ML exposure is an advantage

  • Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese

 

Remuneration and COnditions of Service

Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
