PowerSAC is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to lead technical execution within the RP3 research programme.

Reporting to the Programme Lead, the appointee will provide technical leadership across projects, ensuring research outputs are translated into high-quality engineering deliverables and validated through robust experimental and system-level work.

 

key responsibilities

 

  • Lead engineering execution across all RP3 sub-projects

  • Oversee power electronics design, system integration, and experimental validation

  • Coordinate and review technical work across engineering and research teams

  • Manage and mentor engineers and junior staff, allocating resources effectively

  • Ensure quality and timeliness of technical outputs, including datasets and software tools

  • Act as the key engineering interface with internal stakeholders and external collaborators

  • Contribute to publications, patents, and technology demonstrations

 

Requirements

 

  • Master’s degree or above in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline

  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience in power electronics or semiconductor industries

  • Strong technical expertise across device, system, and simulation domains

  • Experience with engineering tools (e.g. MATLAB, Python, SPICE, COMSOL)

  • Demonstrated leadership and project coordination capabilities

  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese

 

Remuneration and COnditions of Service

Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
