PowerSAC is seeking a skilled Engineer to support the development of AI/ML-driven software solutions within the RP3 research programme.

Reporting to the Senior Engineer, the appointee will play a key role in developing AI-based simulation platforms and software tools, working closely with researchers to translate research models into robust, production-quality systems.

 

key responsibilities

 

  • Develop AI/ML-based surrogate modelling and simulation platforms

  • Build and maintain software pipelines for model training, deployment, and optimisation

  • Develop APIs and interfaces to support cross-project integration

  • Ensure code quality through testing, documentation, and version control practices

  • Collaborate with researchers to translate technical requirements into software solutions

  • Contribute to technical documentation, internal reviews, and programme deliverables

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline

  • At least 2 years’ experience in software development with AI/ML exposure

  • Strong programming skills (Python) and experience with frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow)

  • Familiarity with simulation tools or engineering software environments is an advantage

  • Experience with Git, testing frameworks, and deployment tools preferred

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese

 

Remuneration and COnditions of Service

Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
