Power Semiconductors and Applications Center (PowerSAC) is a newly established R&D Centre in 2026 under the SEAM@InnoHK, dedicated to advancing next‑generation wide bandgap (WBG) semiconductor technologies. Led by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and working in collaboration with leading universities and industry partners worldwide, PowerSAC drives pioneering research to accelerate the commercialization of next-generation power semiconductor technologies and to deliver sustainable, high‑efficiency power solutions for the future.
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic professional to join our team as Assistant Manager (HR & Admin) to provide Human Resources and Administration functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the Centre. The position will be based at the Hong Kong Science Park in Shatin, with occasional travel to the University’s Clear Water Bay Campus as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
The appointee will be responsible for:
- Provide full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment and appointments, onboarding/offboarding, employee movement, leave administration, employee relations, performance management, and maintenance of proper employee records and databases
- Assist in the development, updating, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, internal guidelines, and employee handbook; review and streamline HR and administrative processes to enhance operational efficiency
- Conduct statistical analysis of manpower data and prepare reports to support management review, decision-making, and service improvement
- Drive and support initiatives on employee engagement, wellness, and well-being to foster a positive workplace culture
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to appointments, renewals, performance review, and other HR procedures
- Assist in general office administration duties to ensure smooth Centre operations
- Support office facility and equipment maintenance, seating arrangement, logistics coordination, and office renovation or improvement projects as required
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Centre Director or his/her delegates.
REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- At least 3-5 years of relevant HR experience; prior exposure to full lifecycle HR management is an advantage
- Solid knowledge of Hong Kong employment legislation and HR best practices
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin)
- Meticulous, self-motivated and work efficiently in a dynamic environment
- A good team player with a strong sense of responsibility, problem-solving and service-oriented mindset, and excellent organization, execution, interpersonal and communication skills
- Capable of effectively resolving employee relations issues, building positive interpersonal relationships, and maintaining a harmonious workplace culture
REMUNERATION AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of the contract (Duration: 2 year, renewable subject to performance and mutual agreement)
The appointment is expected to commence as soon as possible.
