The Hong Kong Generative AI Research & Development Center (HKGAI) was established in October 2023, focusing on the research and development of generative artificial intelligence technologies. It is one of the research centers under the InnoHK program, a key initiative of the Hong Kong SAR Government. Led by Prof. Yike Guo, the Provost of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, HKGAI collaborates with four local top-tier institutions: The University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, City University of Hong Kong, as well as the internationally renowned National University of Singapore. HKGAI focuses on developing a series of Multimodal, Multilingual Foundation Models, vertical Foundation Models, and also the tailor-made applications for Hong Kong society. In addition, HKGAI conducts research on ethics, security, and governance in generative AI technologies and applications, providing consultation and recommendations to the HKSAR Government. HKGAI will strive to enhance the role of Hong Kong's innovation and technology industry in promoting economic progress in the Greater Bay Area, cultivating AI talent and ecosystem in Hong Kong, and increasing Hong Kong's global influence in the fields of AI research and application.

Key responsibilities
Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and business-minded Junior HRBP to join our team. As an HRBP, you will work closely with business units to understand their needs and provide human resource solutions to support business objectives. You will be involved in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and more, contributing to the success of the company.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for coordinating and executing the entire recruitment process, providing recruitment data reports, analyzing recruitment effectiveness, and proposing improvement measures.
- Assist in building the HR system, participate in the design and implementation of human resource policies, procedures, and best practices to support business objectives. Support the HR team in continuous improvement in organizational structure, position design, and workflow.
- Participate in talent inventory and succession planning, identify key positions and high-potential talents. Assist in formulating and implementing employee development plans, including training, career planning, and performance management.
- Maintain a positive working environment, promote employee engagement and satisfaction. Provide consultation on human resource policies and procedures.
- Assist in formulating and implementing performance management processes, including goal setting, mid-term reviews, and year-end assessments. Analyze performance data to support business decisions and propose suggestions for improving employee performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Business Management, or related fields.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience in human resources, with recruitment experience preferred, and a background in technology companies is preferred.
- Familiar with human resource policies and labor laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates with a strong technology business acumen are highly preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
