Hong Kong Space Robotics and Energy Centre Limited (HKSRE) is a new InnoHK R&D Centre established in January 2025 specializing in developing multifunctional operation robot with mobile charging capability. With The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) as the leading institution in collaboration with local and international institutions, HKSRE aims to contribute to national space missions, promote the application of space technology and advance aerospace research and development in Hong Kong.

 

responsibilities 

  1. Work with the team to complete the system function evaluation, feasibility verification and top-level design.
    与团队共同完成系统功能评估、可行性验证与顶层设计

  2. Responsible for the design and construction of system related modules to achieve data transmission and visualization, and provide command and control capabilities.
    负责设计并搭建系统相关模块，实现数据传输与可视化、提供指令控制能力

  3. Participate in SIL/IL/HIL testing and deployment, and iteratively maintain system functionality.
    参与系统 SIL/IL/HIL 测试与实际部署，迭代维护系统功能。

 

Requirements

  1. Computer, software engineering, electronic, information technology engineering, automation and other related background
    计算机、软件工程、电子信息工程、自动化等相关背景专业

  2. Minimum 3 years’ related work experience or equivalent engineering development experience, master the Unreal Engine technology stack, experience of implemented projects is a plus.
    三年以上相关工作经验或等效工程开发经验，掌握 UE 技术栈，有落地项目经验者优先

  3. Strong foundation of computer knowledge, including but not limited to: operating system/network/algorithm, etc.
    扎实的计算机知识基础，包括但不限于:操作系统/网络/算法等

  4. Proficient in the use of C++/Python development, familiar with the Linux development environment.
    熟练使用 C++/Python 开发，熟悉 Linux 开发环境

  5. Experience of simulation, control, geographic information system (GIS) related project experience is a plus.
    有仿真、控制、地理信息系统(GIS)相关项目经验者优先

  6. Background of robot control system (perception, localization, planning) is a plus.
    有机器人控制系统(感知、定位、规划)等专业背景者优先

  7. Comfortable of reading English technical documents.
    可以熟练读英文技术文档。

 

Remuneration and COnditions of Service

Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  The appointment is expected to commence as soon as possible.
