Hong Kong Space Robotics and Energy Centre Limited (HKSRE) is a new InnoHK R&D Centre established in January 2025 specializing in developing multifunctional operation robot with mobile charging capability. With The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) as the leading institution in collaboration with local and international institutions, HKSRE aims to contribute to national space missions, promote the application of space technology and advance aerospace research and development in Hong Kong.
The Role
We are seeking a high-calibre Manager (Operations) to oversee the Centre’s daily operations and support the execution of strategic initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research programmes and help position Hong Kong as a global hub for aerospace innovation.
key responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations to ensure effective and efficient support for research and project activities
- Support the implementation of strategic initiatives and large-scale research programmes
- Develop and manage partnerships with local, Mainland, and international collaborators
- Contribute to business development efforts, including identifying funding and collaboration opportunities
- Coordinate cross-functional projects with research, engineering, and administrative teams
- Manage stakeholder engagement and support external communications
- Ensure compliance with institutional and funding requirements
- Prepare reports, proposals, and presentation materials for senior stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in operations, project management, or partnership development
- Experience in research, academia, innovation, or technology environments preferred
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)

Remuneration and Conditions of Service
Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. The appointment is expected to commence as soon as possible.
