Power Semiconductors and Applications Center (PowerSAC) is a newly established R&D Centre in 2026 under the SEAM@InnoHK, dedicated to advancing next‑generation wide bandgap (WBG) semiconductor technologies. Led by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and working in collaboration with leading universities and industry partners worldwide, PowerSAC drives pioneering research to accelerate the commercialization of next-generation power semiconductor technologies and to deliver sustainable, high‑efficiency power solutions for the future.
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic professional who excels in a dynamic and multitasking environment to join our team as Assistant Officer to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Centre operation. The position will be based at the Hong Kong Science Park in Shatin, with occasional travel to the University’s Clear Water Bay Campus as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
The appointee will be responsible for:
- Provide full spectrum of administrative support to the Centre operations, covering general office duties, project coordination, internal and external stakeholder communication, data consolidation, document preparation, and data entry, etc.
- Handle procurement and financial related tasks and processes in accordance with the institutional policies and procedures, including purchase requests, equipment and service sourcing, tender preparation, vendor cost negotiation, invoice follow‑up, reimbursement review, fixed asset management, etc.
- Assist in organizing project events, seminars, meetings, delegation visits, exhibition booths, etc.
- Support event logistics such as venue booking, catering orders, transportation arrangements, material preparation, setup, and on‑site administrative assistance, etc.
- Maintain proper records of finance, inventory, and fixed asset, and ensure compliance with statutory and funding organization requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Centre Director or designated delegates
REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor's degree with at least 1-2 years of relevant work experience in office administration and procurement, preferably gained from higher education institutions, public sector organizations, or sizable organizations
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin and Cantonese)
- Good computer knowledge and proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Chinese Word Processing
- A good team player with a strong sense of responsibility, a problem-solving mindset, and excellent organization, execution, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under tight timelines with attention to details and self-motivated with minimum supervision
REMUNERATION AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of the contract (Duration: 2 year, renewable subject to performance and mutual agreement)
The appointment is expected to commence as soon as possible.
