The Center is seeking a highly enthusiastic, self-motivated, dynamic, and academically excellent candidate to fill the below position.

HKCRC is an innovation research center aiming to bring advanced robotics and AI technologies to the construction industry. Jointly established by Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), University of California, Berkeley (UCB), and Tsinghua University, we conduct transformative research and nurture innovative engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions and prototypes to tackle immediate and emerging industrial and societal challenges in construction.

Currently, the Center is conducting projects in but not limited to the following directions:

  • Robotics SLAM
  • Robotics Motion Control
  • Robotics Decision Planning
  • Machine Learning, Image Processing, Computer Vision
  • Multi Sensor Fusion (Visual, Lidar, IMU, etc.)
  • Robotics Mechanical Structure Design
  • Embedded System

 

Job Description

The appointee will be responsible for:

  • Conducting worldwide construction robot products survey; researching and compiling data related to the current product market, customer demographics and interest, and factors influencing product demand; analyzing results to identify ways of maximizing sales and market penetration of current products;
  • Summarizing cutting-edge technical information in the construction industry, and analyzing data; making recommendations related to research findings.
  • Compiling data related to competitors' products such as pricing, sales, and marketing or distribution methodology;
  • Identifying potential new construction robot products or markets through research;
  • Forecasting and tracking industry marketing and sales trends based on collected data;
  • Delivering reports and presentations of findings to management and/or executive leadership;
  • Perform ad-hoc assignments and projects as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above, with at least 3 years of solid work experience in marketing survey or project survey;
  • Familiar with the construction robot products market in the Mainland China and abroad;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  • Proficiency in using MS office applications and be familiar with China’s social media platforms;
  • Strong sense of responsibility, ability to work independently, mature, detail-oriented and self-motivated.

 

Working Location

Hong Kong Center for Construction Robotics, the Hong Kong Science Park (HKSTP) in Shatin, with occasional traveling to Clear Water Bay Campus as required.

 

Remuneration and COnditions of Service

Salary is highly competitive of international standards and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.

The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract, and is renewable subject to performance, mutual agreement, and funding availability.

The appointment is expected to commence as soon as possible.
