Hong Kong Space Robotics and Energy Centre Limited (HKSRE) is a new InnoHK R&D Centre established in January 2025 specializing in developing multifunctional operation robot with mobile charging capability. With The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) as the leading institution in collaboration with local and international institutions, HKSRE aims to contribute to national space missions, promote the application of space technology and advance aerospace research and development in Hong Kong.
Reporting to the Head of Administration, the Assistant Finance Manager will be involved in the full spectrum of finance and procurement functions, providing operational support for the Center and its research programmes, financial administration and reporting, resources planning, as well as maintaining effective relationship with government/ industrial/ academic counterparts and vendors/ suppliers on relevant aspects.
major responsibilities
- Handle finance functions, including financial and management account reporting, accounts reconciliation, follow up invoices, budgeting, etc.
- Perform procurement functions, including quotation, tendering, purchase orders, payment requests, goods receipt, etc. and keep good filing system.
- Maintain the inventory/equipment record accurately, perform regular stock-taking and monitor the addition/disposal of assets.
- Assist in company compliance matters and record keeping.
- Ad-hoc duties assigned by the Head of Admin or delegates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related disciplines.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance and procurement, including some years at a supervisory level.
- Previous working experience in public sector organizations or higher education institutions is preferred.
- Recognized accounting professional qualification.
- Familiar with PeopleSoft ERP System is an advantage.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua).
- Proactive, able to work independently, strong commitments and capable of multi-tasking.
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact internal and external parties.
Remuneration and COnditions of Service
Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract with a duration of 2 years or above, where applicable.
(Duration: 2 years, renewable subject to performance, mutual agreement, and funding availability)
The appointment is expected to commence as soon as possible.
