Hong Kong Space Robotics and Energy Centre Limited (HKSRE) is a new InnoHK R&D Centre established in January 2025 specializing in developing multifunctional operation robot with mobile charging capability. With The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) as the leading institution in collaboration with local and international institutions, HKSRE aims to contribute to national space missions, promote the application of space technology and advance aerospace research and development in Hong Kong.

 

responsibilities 

  1. Responsible for robotic arm structural design, component selection and assembly scheme design and product development.
    负责机械臂结构设计、部件选型和装配方案制定和产品研制。

  2. Prepare robotic arm design report, R&D summary, etc., and arrange robotic arm assembly and testing.
    编制机械臂方案设计报告、研制总结等，组织进行机械臂总装和测试。

  3. Conduct technical review and optimization of robotic arm design, resolve technical difficulties and problems in the design phase.
    完成机械臂设计方案的评审和优化，解决设计过程中的技术难题和问题。

  4. Collaborate with other teams to ensure the smooth connection between the design and manufacturing, testing and verification phase.
    与其他部门协作，确保设计方案与生产制造、测试验证等环节的顺利衔接。

 

Requirements

  1. Degree (Master or above) in mechanical engineering or aircraft/spacecraft design, or other related disciplines.
    机械工程，飞行器设计或相关专业硕士及以上学历。

  2. Minimum 5 years’  experience in robotic arm design, proficient in 3D CAD, FEA, dynamics analysis and other related software, familiar with the properties of commonly used structural materials, familiar with the characteristics of motors and other core components.
    五年以上机械臂设计经验，熟练使用三维建模，力学分析，动力学分析等相关软件，熟悉常用结构材料特性，熟悉电机等核心零部件特性。

  3. Strong team management and communication skills, able to lead the team through the design, production and verification test phase of robotic arm system.
    具备较强的团队管理和沟通能力，能够带领团队完成机械臂系统的设计、生产及测试验证。

  4. Possess engineering mindset and multi-discipline problem solving skills.
    具备工程意识和多系统协同解决问题能力。

  5. Good team player with communication skills, be responsible and able to work under pressure / in a fast-paced environment.
    良好的团队合作精神和沟通能力，有责任心和抗压能力。

 

Remuneration and COnditions of Service

Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  The appointment is expected to commence as soon as possible.
