Hong Kong Space Robotics and Energy Centre Limited (HKSRE) is a new InnoHK R&D Centre established in January 2025 specializing in developing multifunctional operation robot with mobile charging capability. With The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) as the leading institution in collaboration with local and international institutions, HKSRE aims to contribute to national space missions, promote the application of space technology and advance aerospace research and development in Hong Kong.

 

responsibilities 

  1. Design and optimize various types of soft/flexible mechanical structures, including soft robots, flexible sensors, etc., and develop structural design solutions.
    设计和优化各类柔性机械结构，包括软体机器人、柔性传感器等，制定结构设计方案。

  2. Perform modelling, simulation and analysis of flexible structures to evaluate structural performance and stability.
    进行柔性结构的建模、仿真和分析，评估结构性能和稳定性。

  3. Participate in the manufacturing process design and engineering implementation of soft structures to ensure the quality of manufactured structure.
    参与柔性结构的制造工艺设计和工程实施，确保结构制造质量。

 

Requirements

  1. Degree (Master or above) in mechanical engineering or material science, or other related disciplines, with experience in the design and development of soft structures.
    机械工程、材料科学或相关专业硕士及以上学历，具备柔性结构设计与研发经验。

  2. Proficient with the use of various structural design software and simulation tools. Capable to perform structural optimization and analysis.
    熟练掌握结构设计软件和仿真工具，具备结构优化和分析能力。

  3. Strong engineering project management skills, able to independently complete soft structure design tasks.
    具备较强的工程项目管理能力，能够独立完成柔性结构设计任务。

  4. Good team player with communication skills, be responsible and able to work under pressure / in a fast-paced environment.
    良好的团队合作精神和沟通能力，有责任心和抗压能力。

 

Remuneration and COnditions of Service

Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  The appointment is expected to commence as soon as possible.
