Hong Kong Space Robotics and Energy Centre Limited (HKSRE) is a new InnoHK R&D Centre established in January 2025 specializing in developing multifunctional operation robot with mobile charging capability. With The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) as the leading institution in collaboration with local and international institutions, HKSRE aims to contribute to national space missions, promote the application of space technology and advance aerospace research and development in Hong Kong.

 

responsibilities 

  1. Design and develop flexible sensor technology, including sensor structure design, material selection, and sensing unit/element layout.
    设计和开发柔性传感器技术，包括传感器结构设计、材料选择和敏感元件布局。

  2. Conduct testing and validation of flexible sensors, analyse sensor data and performance, and make recommendations for improvement.
    进行柔性传感器的测试和验证，分析传感器数据及性能，提出改进建议。

  3. Investigate the applicability of flexible sensors in different application scenarios and explore new sensor application areas.
    研究柔性传感器在不同应用场景下的适用性，探索新的传感器应用领域。

  4. Collaborate with the team to solve challenges in sensor technology and collaborate with suppliers to complete production.
    与团队合作，解决传感器技术中的挑战，并与供应商协同完成生产。

 

Requirements

  1. Degree (Master or above) in electrical engineering, material science, mechanical engineering, or other related disciplines, with experience in the design and R&D of flexible sensors.
    电子工程、材料科学、机械工程或相关专业硕士及以上学历，具备柔性传感器设计与研发经验。

  2. Familiar with the principle and manufacturing process of flexible sensors, and have the ability to test sensors and analyze results.
    熟悉柔性传感器原理和制造工艺，具备传感器测试和数据分析能力。

  3. Creative thinking and problem solving ability, able to complete the sensor design and trial production independently.
    具备创新思维和解决问题能力，能够独立完成传感器设计与试制务。

  4. Good team player with communication skills, be responsible and able to work under pressure / in a fast-paced environment.
    良好的团队合作精神和沟通能力，有责任心和抗压能力。

 

Remuneration and COnditions of Service

Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  The appointment is expected to commence as soon as possible.
