Hong Kong Space Robotics and Energy Centre Limited (HKSRE) is a new InnoHK R&D Centre established in January 2025 specializing in developing multifunctional operation robot with mobile charging capability. With The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) as the leading institution in collaboration with local and international institutions, HKSRE aims to contribute to national space missions, promote the application of space technology and advance aerospace research and development in Hong Kong.

 

responsibilities 

  1. Design and optimize robot control algorithms, including motion planning, trajectory tracking and robotic arm motion control.
    设计和优化机器人控制算法，包括运动规划、轨迹跟踪和机械臂运动控制等方面。

  2. Perform simulation and experimental validation of robot control algorithms, analyse algorithm performance, improve and optimize the algorithms.
    进行机器人控制算法的仿真和实验验证，分析算法性能并进行改进优化。

  3. Collaborate with hardware teams to solve technical problems related to robot control system.
    与硬件团队协同解决机器人控制系统中的技术问题。

 

Requirements

  1. Degree (Master or above) in computer science, automation, electrical engineering or other related disciplines, with experience with robot control algorithm design.
    计算机科学、自动化、电子工程或相关专业硕士及以上学历，具备机器人控制算法设计经验。

  2. Proficient in motion planning, path planning and control theory, and familiar with robot control framework.
    精通运动规划、路径规划和控制理论，熟悉机器人控制框架。

  3. Solid mathematical foundation and algorithm design capability, able to solve complex control algorithm problems independently.
    具备扎实的数学基础和算法设计能力，能够独立解决复杂的控制算法问题。

  4. Good team player with communication skills, be responsible and able to work under pressure / in a fast-paced environment.
    良好的团队合作精神和沟通能力，有责任心和抗压能力。

 

Remuneration and COnditions of Service

Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  The appointment is expected to commence as soon as possible.
