Job Title: Deputy Principal Engineer, Spacecraft Energy Subsystem 航天器能源分系统副主任师

Hong Kong Space Robotics and Energy Centre Limited (HKSRE) is a new InnoHK R&D Centre established in January 2025 specializing in developing multifunctional operation robot with mobile charging capability. With The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) as the leading institution in collaboration with local and international institutions, HKSRE aims to contribute to national space missions, promote the application of space technology and advance aerospace research and development in Hong Kong.

 

responsibilities 

  1. Spacecraft energy subsystem design, simulation analysis, design verification and development, etc.;
    负责航天器能源分系统设计、仿真分析、验证和开发等工作；

  2. Spacecraft energy balance analysis, overall design of power subsystem, and design of solar arrays, battery packs, and power controllers, etc.;
    负责航天器能量平衡分析、电源分系统总体设计、以及太阳电池阵、蓄电池组、和电源控制器设计等；

  3. Responsible for the production, product development, acceptance and testing of energy subsystem products
    负责能源分系统产品投产、研制、产品验收及测试等；

  4. Preparation of documents related to the subsystem design and test;
    负责分系统相关设计和试验文件的编制；

 

Requirements

  1. Degree (Master or above) in mechanical, electronic, electric power, physics or other related discipline. Backgrounds in aerospace or energy system is a plus;
    硕士及以上学历，机械电子、电力电子、物理等相关专业，拥有航空航天背景、能源系统背景者优先；

  2. Possess spacecraft power system design and simulation capability, familiar with spacecraft power technology and management strategy;
    具备航天器电源系统设计仿真能力，熟悉航天器电源技术及管理策略；

  3. Strong understanding of the principles and fundamentals of mechanical, electronic and thermal, with relevant work experience;
    了解机电热的基本原理和基础知识，具有相关工作经历；

  4. 5 years’ experience in energy system design for spacecraft and robots is a plus.
    有航天器、机器人类产品能源系统设计经验5年以上优先

 

Remuneration and COnditions of Service

Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  The appointment is expected to commence as soon as possible.
